White Houses - Nigel & Lea

White Houses - Nigel & Lea

This song is all about when I was a kid and they built the new housing scheme destroying a whole community structure. Everyone living in the same flats all concrete and cold impersonal. In my way I try to explain my vision of what I saw at that time going on around me. Pubs have always been a social friendly gathering place. But when you live in these council flats you go down the Pub as an escape to forget for a moment. The sound track is available on iTunes. https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/white-houses-nigel-lea-single/id720705429

The children of India - Nigel Bradford

The children of India - Nigel Bradford

This melody is dedicated to the children of India. I was born in Calcutta I'm whatpeople call an Anglo Indian . Except the fact my dad is of French origin. So there was a lot of talk about India when I was a kid. I started writing this style of music very early this style of guitar playing always brings me back to India.

You can listen to the audio track here. https://soundcloud.com/nigel-bradford/the-children-of-india

On a Hill - Nigel Bradford.

On a Hill - Nigel Bradford.

I composed this while living in Brittany France around 2001. When
my late friend Eddy Larnder and me used to talk till late at night about all that was happening to this Earth. I said once we don't realize that were all on the same hill. That's were I got the Inspiration from.
There is also a version with a slight variation that has become a song.
A special thanks to David bayliss I used his video that is so perfect with this melody. go have a look at his films.

J.S.Bach - Prelude in C Major - Arr for Guitar Nigel Bradford.

J.S.Bach - Prelude in C Major - Arr for Guitar Nigel Bradford.

My arrangement of J.S.Bach - Prelude in C Major. I play it very laid back(slowly) as that is the way I enjoy and feel it. I often imagine I'm playing a piano when I play this. Hope you enjoy.

Montafilan(Accoustic Version) - Nigel Bradford.

Montafilan(Accoustic Version) - Nigel Bradford.

Here is the Acoustic version on classical guitar with a few changes.
I composed this while living in Corseul Brittany France. Montafilan is an old ruin of a castle I used to go for walks with my kids and my girlfriend this number is full of memories for me. It's such a beautiful calm place but walking through the ruins I was imagining what it was like in the middle ages and in this region they suffered terribly from the 100 years war with the English. There are many stories locally about the Castle of Montafilan.. CoverArtwork by G.D.B.

The Indian Rider - Nigel Bradford

The Indian Rider - Nigel Bradford(Audio track).

The Native Americans. The proud, brave, original peoples of the Americas, containing varied individual tribes. Their land was bought for a handful of beads or taken with useless pieces of paper containing worthless treaties. The original American tragedy.
NOTE;(This Instrumental I composed along with 3 others Montezuma, In search of America and Indian Cowboy. To express my concern and respect for the Native American peoples.
